Melinda is the Vice President/Executive Director of the Stelos Alliance and oversees the day to day operations. She has spent her twenty-year career providing non-profit clients with the best ROI (return on investment). Her responsibilities included: finding a fulfilling effective sponsorship opportunities, managing extensive marketing and advertising campaigns, managing employees, producing highly profitable fundraising events and writing savvy public relations campaigns, just to name a few. A partial list of clients includes: YMCA of Greater San Antonio, Bexar County Health Collaborative Fit City, The Alamo Bowl, Any Baby Can, Boysville, The Brighton School and For the Love of Kids and Harleys.After 15 years of assisting countless non-profits with achieving fundraising, outreach, marketing, PR and event objectives, she is focusing on her personal philanthropic goal. The goal of providing young leaders with the tools they needs to succeed in life, and in turn, make the world a better place.
Melinda joined forces with Bill Poston in June of 2008 to create the Stelos Alliance. In just one year, Melinda wrote the application and received 501(C)(3) status, planned and executed a large fundraising event, designed and wrote an extensive website (www.Stelos.org), increased scholarships awarded from 6 to 10, and is developing the Principled Leadership Institute. She is no stranger to planning, execution and getting things done.
